Ben Guedes, M.D.:
Dr. Guedes established the Florida Children's
Medical Group in 1987. He was previously the medical director of pediatrics
at ORMC before entering into private practice. Dr. Guedes has worked to
develop pediatrics in Central Florida into a world class institution. At
Florida Hospital he developed the 24-hr pediatric emergency transport team
that can be anywhere in the southeast US down into the Caribbean within a
matter of hours to deliver ill children to the facilities here at Florida
Hospital.

Along with the rest of the Kids’ Docs panel he has developed
the pediatric program at Florida Hospital into a superior facility. He is
also presently very active at Children’s Medical Services. He is the overall
assistant director of district 7a. He is also the medical director of the
following programs at CMS; CMAT, cleft pallet, and Primary Care.

Dr. Guedes’ private practice consists of a busy outpatient and inpatient
practice. On the outpatient side, he actively manages a large population of
medically fragile and technologically dependant children. He is available
for quick and attentive consults for your difficult or perplexing children.
In the inpatient setting, Dr. Guedes is available for consults and
hospitalist work on a 24-hr basis. He presently attends all local hospitals
including, Florida Hospital (all campuses) , APH, Princeton, HealthCentral,
and Celebration.
