Robert Gold, MD:
Dr. Robert S. Gold, M.D. is an
Ophthalmologist specializing in the unique eye care needs of children and
also has expertise in treating adults that have eye muscle abnormalities
including double vision. Among the most common problems seen in our office
include tear duct obstructions, strabismus (or crossing eyes in children and
adults), patients with refractive errors (the need for correction with
glasses or contact lenses), and congenital or hereditary eye abnormalities.

Dr. Gold graduated from the Tulane University School of Medicine in 1982. He
did his internship at the Ochsner Foundation Hospital and Clinic in New
Orleans before completing his residency in Ophthalmology at the Louisiana
State University Eye Center. This was followed by a fellowship to
sub-specialize in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Eye Muscle Disorders at
the James Hall Eye Foundation in Atlanta where he was on the staff of the
Scottish Ritge Children’s Hospital and Piedmont Hospital.

Dr. Gold is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of
the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a Member of the American
Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabimus. He is also a member of
the Central Florida Society of Ophthalmology and the Central Florida
Pediatric Society.
Since July, 1987,
Dr. Gold has been in the private practice of Pediatric Ophthalmology and
Adult Eye Muscle Disorders with Eye Physicians, P.A., in Longwood and Winter
Park, Florida. He is on the staffs of Florida Hospital, Arnold Palmer
Hospital for Children and Women, South Seminole Hospital, Winter Park
Hospital, and the Physicians Surgical Care Center. |
