Dr. Mark Chaet is a board certified pediatric surgeon who
specializes in laparoscopic or minimally invasive surgery for infants and
children.

After receiving his medical degree from Emory University School
of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Chaet completed his training in general
surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He spent a one year
fellowship at the Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio,
concentrating his studies on pediatric surgical disease. His work in the
laboratory resulted in numerous publications on short bowel syndrome, nitric
oxide and related pediatric surgical topics. After
completing his general surgical training, he was accepted to the Pediatric
Surgery Fellowship Program at the J. W. Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana
University. This training continued over a two year period and allowed Dr. Chaet
to develop further skills and gain experience in the growing field of
laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgery. |

Dr. Chaet joined Pediatric Surgery, P.A. in
Orlando in 1997. He has been involved in the management of various pediatric
surgical problems including surgical oncology, thoracic surgery, and minimally
invasive surgery. Dr. Chaet currently serves on the Florida Hospital Endoscopy
Committee and is part of the teaching faculty for the General Surgical Program
at the Orlando Regional Medical Center.
